AdminHistoryThere were several issues of geology that had an affect upon Livingston. Primarily, the previous mining of fossil fuel minerals meant that Livingston lay over areas of mine workings, including shafts and pit openings. There, was, therefore a need to be aware of any possible subsidence due to such workings when planning new developments within the designated area.
